Every year in early summer Viksjöforsbaletten arranges a Dance Festival with many visiting friends from all over the world.
In 2016 for example the Dance Festival in Viksjöfors was on June 6, the Swedish National Day. Dancers, like the big international group from New York, and participants in projects, such as Migration – Challenge for Europe, Dance for Peace and E-ARTINED, attended seminars and workshops the week before.

Kallt och så småningom regnigt, men fullt av fantastiska dansare! Våra elever åkte med dansarnas buss från Quren och var med hela dagen. Viksjöforselever uppträdde som akrobater 🙂 Reportage på helahalsingland.se. Bilden föreställer vår vän Aklilu Dawit, som reser hit varje år från Addis Abeba, i en traditionell dans tillsammans med Yohannes Seray, nu lärarassistent i Viksjöfors med ursprung i Eritrea. Barnens favoriter var de franska breakdansarna (med svenska Simon) i Samis crew.
Vi fick jobb att spela i paraden på Dansforum den 6 juni:
